Hi, I’m Madison, the writer and curator behind Cardinal North Studio.
The first time I stepped out of Piarco Airport nearly a decade ago, I was instantly swept up by the thick, humid air, the sight of the Northern Range in the distance, and an energy I couldn’t quite describe—but I knew I’d be back.
Since then, I’ve traveled between Canada and Trinidad & Tobago with my husband, who was born and raised in Trinidad. Over the years, this vibrant corner of the Caribbean became more than a vacation spot. It became a vision for a slower, more intentional way of life.
Eventually, we made the leap—trading in fast-paced Canadian city life for the warm, unhurried rhythms of Tobago. Now, we call this island home.
Cardinal North Studio is a visual journal—a blend of storytelling and photography capturing the beauty, culture, and everyday magic of island living.
Through this space, I document our transition to life in the Caribbean, share hidden gems, boutique stays, local insights, and everything that makes Tobago special.
