Affordable Airbnb in Parlatuvier Tobago with Pool & Bay Views Review
If you’re searching for a peaceful escape along Tobago’s quieter coastlines, this Parlatuvier Airbnb Tobago stay offers just the right mix of simplicity, nature, and charm. Perched just steps from Parlatuvier Bay, the property is a hidden gem perfect for slow mornings, lazy swims, and watching hummingbirds dance through the fruit trees.
Known as Beach Side Apartments, this is a great option for budget travellers as the accommodation is affordable but the views are priceless.

The Drive: Getting There Is Half the Beauty
The journey to Parlatuvier itself is an experience. Driving along Tobago’s North Coast Road, you’ll wind through lush rainforest, catch glimpses of the ocean, and pass through villages. We experienced a rainy drive but the rain and gloom makes for its own type of beauty.

Arriving at Beach Side Aparments
Upon arrival at the Parlatuvier Airbnb Tobago, the host, Leon, will greet you and show you where to park. A warm welcoming awaits you. If it’s your first time in Parlatuvier, or seeing it up close, you will be in awe. It’s never ceases to amaze me.
As per the Airbnb listing: Enjoy the breath-taking views of the Caribbean beach, Main Ridge Mountains and the welcoming nature of the villagers.

First Impressions and Layout of the Unit
This Airbnb is part of a small hillside property. The host lives in the upper level while the lower level is composed of two rental units. The first unit (which we stayed in) has a dedicated bedroom while the second unit is a studio. During our stay, the second unit was unoccupied so we had the property to ourselves.
the patio
Outside, you’ll find a covered bistro-style seating area — perfect for meals or rainy afternoons — plus a garden swing and hummingbird feeders that add a magical, mindful touch.

the views
The bedroom has a small window looks out onto the lush yard and mountain range. While the kitchen window gives a peek at Parlatuvier Bay.

the kitchen
You enter through a modest kitchenette equipped with a fridge, stove, kettle, and the basics. There is a nice chair in the main living area but there is no indoor dining table, TV, etc. Meals can be enjoyed from the patio.

the bedroom
The bedroom is simple but cozy, with a comfortable bed, AC, mirror, and a bench for your belongings. A small window looks out onto the lush yard and mountain range. You can hear the waves crashing along Parlatuvier Bay.

the bathroom
A small bathroom (with shower and toilet) sits just off the kitchen — functional, though we did notice a mild musty smell likely due to lack of ventilation. The bathroom provides everything you need, but it was the only part of the property that I did not like.

The Pool & Outdoor Space
One of our favorite things about Beach Side Aparmtnets was the outdoor space—it’s seriously lovely. The yard feels like a private garden retreat, bursting with colorful flowers, tropical plants, and fruit trees that attract birds and butterflies. Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee or winding down after a beach day, there’s a perfect spot to relax.
We especially loved the hanging swing tucked under the trees—it’s the kind of little detail that makes you want to stay a while. Just steps from the unit, a pair of comfy chairs sit poolside under a big umbrella, ideal for lounging in the shade and enjoying the mountain breeze. It’s peaceful, lush, and full of charm—everything you could want in a Tobago getaway.

the pool
The small plunge pool was clean, the perfect temperature, and offered incredible views of Parlatuvier Bay. It’s about 4 feet deep — just enough to cool off and unwind. A rinse-off shower is nearby, and the pool area is surrounded by tropical plants and trees that attract all kinds of birds and butterflies.

the water’s edge
We especially loved sitting at the water’s edge, where we set up our own beach chairs in a grassy patch overlooking the sea — an unbeatable spot for reading or simply listening to the waves.

Beach & Bay Access
The Airbnb is just steps from Parlatuvier Bay Beach, one of the most peaceful spots we’ve visited on the island. It was mostly quiet during our stay — we spotted only a few other visitors and local fishermen by the jetty. See our full blog post on Parlatuvier Bay here.
We didn’t swim this time due to rougher waters and rainy weather, but others were in the sea. Walking along the beach, we were lucky enough to see stingrays up close — they’re often found near the jetty, and yes, some brave souls do swim with them!
For fellow beachcombers: the rocks, driftwood, and sea glass here were a dream. I collected a few pieces and turned them into a textured wall art piece — a perfect slow-living souvenir.
