Lunch with a View: Eula’s Restaurant on Englishman’s Bay, Tobago

Tucked into a lush corner of Englishman’s Bay, one of Tobago’s most serene beaches, is Eula’s Restaurant & Souvenir Shop—a rustic wooden eatery that feels like a true hidden gem. During a weekend trip to Parlatuvier, we made the short drive down to Englishman’s Bay for a laid-back lunch. If you see colourful beach wraps hanging up then you know she is open.

A Classic Caribbean Lunch

Eula’s menu is simple and local, just the way we like it. We ordered the Fish & Chips—a generous fillet of freshly caught grilled fish (not fried), fries and a small salad. The catch of the day was tuna. Paied perfectly with an ice cold Carib. Other drink options include water and juices.

We sat at a wooden picnic table under the shade, just steps from the sea. Additional seating is available with the restaurant on the lower and upper levels. The rain was off and on during our visit – so we took shelter inside when necessary.

No frills, no fuss—just good food and a priceless view.

The Setting: Rustic, Relaxed, and So Tobago

Eula’s is exactly what you’d hope for at a beachside eatery: colorful paint, hand-carved signs, and an open-air setup that lets the breeze roll right through. The souvenir shop attached to the restaurant has a handful of locally made trinkets and island keepsakes, worth a browse while waiting for your food.

Englishman’s Bay itself is often quiet—especially compared to more developed beaches on the island. It’s the kind of place where you can read a book under a palm tree, take a dip in the turquoise water, and hear nothing but the waves.
