A Must for Dinner in Tobago
Open daily from 5 PM for dine-in (and from 4 PM for takeout), The Seahorse Restaurant is a favourite among both locals and visitors seeking a refined evening out. With its al fresco setting, white tablecloths, red tiled floors, and vining plants, the restaurant has a distinct European charm, perfect for romantic dinners or special occasions.
Tip: Make a reservation in advance. Walk-ins are often turned away or asked to wait at the bar for a table.

Elevated Ambience & Impeccable Service
The attention to detail here is unparalleled. From the moment you’re seated, a candle is lit at your table, setting the tone for a cozy, intimate experience. The service is the most professional we’ve encountered on the island. Staff members work in near-synchrony, subtly observing from a distance and appearing the moment they’re needed—whether to serve a drink, clear a table, or deliver your next course.
Tables are promptly cleared and reset within seconds, and food service is impressively efficient. Despite the high level of attentiveness, the atmosphere remains relaxed and warm.

Time to Order at The Seahorse Restaurant Tobago
The menu at Searhorse Tobago offers a variety of options. You are sure to find a dish that appeals to your preferences. You will likely find yourself debating between a few different dishes. Don’t worry, you will want to return again & again – so you will have the chance to try everything.

Drinks: Simple Yet Satisfying
The Seahorse boasts an extensive drink list from wines to cocktails to spirits. We’ve enjoyed a variety of drinks from rose wine to cocktails including rum punch and mojitos.

The Bread: Beyond Delicious
The meal began with a basket of house bread—some of the best we’ve had, warm and incredibly fresh. The sea salt on top is the perfect touch.

Appetizers We Loved
- Spiced Calamari (TTD $75): Lightly crispy with bold seasoning—delicious, even for someone who doesn’t usually enjoy calamari.
- Bruschetta (TTD $65): Four slices, two of which featured classic tomato and basil toppings—simple and sensational. The remaining slices were topped with shrimp and tartare, which seafood lovers will appreciate.
- Goats cheese cheesecake (TTD $65): An unexpectedly wonderful savoury cheesecake.

Entrees to Enjoy
We’ve tried a variety of dishes from shrimp and fish to steak and chicken. There hasn’t been an entree we tried and did not enjoy. You can find the complete menu on their website here.

Dessert Dreams Come True
Usually we skip dessert, but this meal was flawless from start to finish—we couldn’t resist.
- Passion Fruit Crème Brûlée (TTD $55): Silky, tangy, and hands-down the best crème brûlée we’ve ever had.
- Affogato: A simple scoop of vanilla ice cream drowned in a shot of espresso. The perfect finale.
