The Best Bars in Tobago (With the Best Views)
Tobago is home to some of the most breathtaking bars in the Caribbean, where you can sip on a refreshing cocktail while taking in ocean views, golden sunsets, and lush tropical landscapes. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back beachfront spot or an upscale dining experience with a stunning backdrop, Tobago has it all. Here’s a roundup of the best bars on the island that not only serve great drinks but also boast the most spectacular views.
This list is current as of March 2025 and will be updated as more bars are discovered.
Bagos Resturant & Lounge (Crown Point)

Perched just steps from the shoreline, this laid-back beach bar exudes effortless island charm, welcoming both locals and travelers alike. This is a great place to enjoy a beer or cocktail while enjoying a stunning, uninterrupted view of Swallows Beach. While it’s a scenic retreat at any hour, I highly recommend visiting in the early evening to catch the sunset in all its glory.
Renmars Restaurant & Bar (Pigeon Point)
Nestled near the famous Pigeon Point Beach, just a few feet from the shoreline, Renmars Restaurant & Bar offers a relaxed atmosphere with panoramic views of the turquoise waters. There is always a crowd here but the wait is worth it. You can walk straight from the ocean to the bar and back to the ocean again!
This spot is perfect for unwinding with a cold Carib beer or a rum punch after a day at the beach. They also serve food here and everything we have tried we have thoroughly enjoyed. The open-air seating lets you soak in the sea breeze, and if you’re lucky, you might catch a live steelpan performance adding to the island vibes.
1763 Restaurant & Bar (Mt. Irvine)

Located on a hill overlooking Mt. Irvine Bay, 1763 Restaurant & Bar combines history with breathtaking scenery. The name pays homage to Tobago’s rich past, and the ambiance is just as inviting as the views. Whether you’re enjoying a craft cocktail or indulging in their flavorful seafood dishes, this spot is perfect for watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and pink.
While at 1763, you are bound to hear the music thumping from just down the bay at Anchor – our next stop.
Anchor Bar & Grill (Mt. Irvine)

This casual yet stylish bar offers a prime location near Mt. Irvine Beach, making it a favorite among locals, surfers and beachgoers. With its relaxed outdoor seating and views of the ocean, Anchor Bar & Grill is the ideal place to sip a signature mojito or enjoy fresh grilled seafood while taking in the coastal scenery.
The bar can be a bit slow – but hey, you are on island time and with the view you have, waiting isn’t really a bad thing at all. We heard from multiple people that the food is very good here – but have not tried it yet.
I have yet to see this place without a large crowd, loud music and great vibes.
Waves Restaurant & Bar (Black Rock)

Waves is a beachfront gem where you can dine with your toes in the sand while gazing out at the endless blue sea. The restaurant’s laid-back yet elegant ambiance makes it a great choice for a romantic dinner or a chilled evening with friends. Try their delicious piña coladas or a tropical rum punch while listening to the soothing sound of waves crashing nearby.
Legger’s Restaurant and Bar (Black Rock)

A lesser-known treasure, Legger’s offers a true island experience with its local charm and stunning ocean views. You will be in total awe of the breathtaking views. Whether you’re stopping by for an ice-cold beer or one of their famous rum cocktails, you’ll love the friendly atmosphere and the breathtaking sunsets from their outdoor seating area.
Moon Over Water (Black Rock)

Moon Over Water does not have the same captivating views as the other bars on this list, but I cannot neglect it. Moon Over Water is a great bar to visit where you can mix with the locals, expats and tourists alike. There is a variety of drinks and food being served – although I recommend to keep it simple here and order a beer.
This is a renowned bar and is very lively on Friday and Saturday nights – although you will find people there every single night of the week. This hotspot offers more than just a pool table and sports on TV; it’s a haven of excitement and relaxation. Patrons indulge in delicious bar snacks while immersing themselves in the energetic atmosphere.
On Saturday nights, they will sometimes host a bonfire with live steel pan and fire dancers. Moon Over Water perfectly encapsulates the essence of adventure and leisure, leaving an indelible mark on both local and overseas visitors who crave both outdoor thrills and vibrant cultural encounters.
Glasgow’s Bar (Parlatuvier)

For those venturing to the more remote yet equally stunning parts of Tobago, Glasgow’s Bar in Parlatuvier is a must-visit. Perched on a hillside, this local watering hole offers breathtaking views of the bay and surrounding rainforest. It’s a fantastic spot to experience authentic Tobago hospitality while enjoying a refreshing drink and taking in the serene beauty of the coastline.
This has to be one of my favourite bars – ever!
Conclusion
Tobago’s bar scene isn’t just about great drinks—it’s about the experience. Whether you’re looking for an intimate seaside retreat, a lively beach bar, or a hidden gem with unbeatable views, these spots offer the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening. So sit back, sip, and soak in the beauty of Tobago, one drink at a time.
