In 2016, I had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful villa in Tobago with a group of 6 friends, and it was truly one of the best places we’ve ever booked. The space was ideal for our needs: roomy, comfortable, and perfectly situated for a fun vacation. Fast forward to 2025, and I’m eagerly planning a return visit to see the exciting renovations that have taken place since we stayed there. Here’s everything you need to know about this incredible property, both before and after its upgrades.

Location Overview: Tranquil Yet Accessible

The villa is located in a peaceful part of Tobago, offering the perfect balance between serenity and convenience. It is a short drive from the bustling towns of Scarborough and Crown Point, providing easy access to Tobago’s top attractions. The property is approximately a 20-minute drive from the ANR Robinson International Airport, making it easily accessible.

The villa offers breathtaking 360 views which make it difficult to leave the property. During our 2016 stay, we enjoyed the quiet and private setting while still being close to local shops, beaches, and the vibrant island culture.

The proximity to Pigeon Point Beach and Store Bay is one of the major perks. We spent many afternoons at these beautiful, serene beaches, swimming, lounging, and soaking up the sun.

Accommodation Overview: A Comfortable and Spacious Villa for Groups

The villa offers the perfect setting for large groups. With multiple bedrooms, ample common space, and plenty of privacy, it was the ideal choice for our group getaway. One very important amenity is onsite laundry – which is incredibly useful for freshening up your clothes mid-trip.

The main living area is large and open, with plenty of room for socializing, dining, or simply relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The spacious kitchen is well-equipped, allowing you to cook your own meals with fresh, local ingredients from nearby markets. When travelling with a group it is usually easier and more economical to cook meals at home rather than going out to restaurants.

Evenings can be spent gathering around the table or lounging on the balcony, enjoying the cool breeze and beautiful views.

The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, each designed to offer privacy and a restful sleep. Each group member can have their own space, which makes the trip even more enjoyable. The combination of communal areas for social time and private spaces for rest make it a truly perfect choice for a group of friends.

Fast-forward to 2025, and I’m excited to see the renovations that have taken place. From the updated design to any potential additions like upgraded furniture or new amenities, I expect the renovations to make this Airbnb even more comfortable and inviting for future guests. The combination of modern updates while retaining the warmth and charm of the property will certainly elevate the experience.

You will be happy with how affordable this property is, especially considering how spacious it is for groups. The current average nightly rate is $500-600 USD per night with accommodations for up to 12 people – which is only $41-50 USD per person. Given the spectacular view and how many amenities and spaces are included, it feels like you are getting more than your money’s worth.

Pros and Cons: What I Love and What Can Be Improved

Pros:

Spaciousness for Groups: One of the highlights of this Airbnb is its size. There was more than enough room for our group and fit up to 12 people without feeling cramped. The shared areas were perfect for socializing, while the bedrooms provided the privacy you need.
Proximity to Beaches and Attractions: The location is superb for beach lovers and those wanting to explore Tobago. We were just a short drive away from some of the best beaches and local attractions.
Affordable for Groups: The price for what we got was fantastic, especially when split between multiple people. It made the trip affordable without compromising on comfort or amenities.

Cons:

Steep Driveway: The property is accessable via a steep driveway, which may be tricky to navigate for novice drivers. However, this is a minor issue and doesn’t detract from the overall experience.

Nearby Attractions and Things to Do: Explore the Best of Tobago

One of the best parts about this Airbnb is its proximity to Tobago’s stunning beaches and other must-see attractions. During our stay, we took full advantage of everything Tobago has to offer:

Pigeon Point Beach: Just a short drive away, Pigeon Point Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. It’s ideal for swimming, relaxing, and taking in the scenic views.
Buccoo Reef and Nylon Pool: A boat tour to Buccoo Reef and the famous Nylon Pool was one of the highlights of our trip. The crystal-clear water and vibrant marine life made for a memorable experience.
Fort King George: If you’re a history buff, you’ll enjoy exploring Fort King George, which offers stunning views over the island and a glimpse into Tobago’s colonial past.

The area is also home to great local restaurants where you can enjoy some delicious cuisine.

Without a doubt, I would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Tobago. Whether you’re traveling with a group of family or friends, the space, amenities, and location offer everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Now that the property has undergone renovations, I can only imagine that it’s even more incredible. I can’t wait to see the changes myself in 2025 and enjoy another memorable stay with my group.
